| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho pretende estudar e actualizar a chegada, implantação ou mesmo recusa de reformas entre os Frades Menores em Portugal até à bula leonina de 1517, Ite vos, em que se impõe a reforma da Observância. Vários intentos e caminhos se tentaram trilhar, experimentar, vozes aqui e ali se levantaram, na Europa, a defender uma reforma da Ordem, em todos os domínios. Da pobreza de Cristo ao regresso às origens da Ordem, da imitação do Fundador ao retorno ao eremitismo e a uma tentativa de refundação da Ordem, várias foram as formas que esta tentativa de reforma teve. Em Portugal, temos algumas figuras, como veremos, intentos e renovos, temos a Observância a partir de 1392, mas até essa data pouco se conhece, para além de figuras como Fr. Álvaro Pais, bispo de Silves, uma figura que clamava por mudança, mas sem cortar os grilhões da instituição. A Observância será o primeiro momento espiritual, mas também institucional, a dar corpo a esses pródromos de reforma na Ordem, consumando-se a partir de 1392, na forma de uma reforma, antes da grande reforma católica tridentina. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo pretende estudiar y actualizar la llegada, la implantación e incluso el rechazo de las reformas entre los Frailes Menores en Portugal hasta la bula de León X de 1517, Ite vos, en la que se impuso la reforma de la Observancia. Diversos intentos y vías se trataron de seguir o de experimentar, voces que aquí y allí se levantaron, en Europa, para defender una reforma de la Orden, en todos sus ámbitos. Desde la pobreza de Cristo al retorno a los orígenes de la Orden, desde la imitación del Fundador al retorno al eremitismo y a un intento de refundación de la Orden, este movimiento de reforma adoptó diversas formas. En Portugal tenemos algunas figuras, como veremos, intentos y renovaciones, tenemos la Observancia a partir de 1392, pero hasta esa fecha poco se conoce, aparte de figuras como la de Fr. Álvaro Pelayo, obispo de Silves, que clamaba por el cambio, pero sin cortar los lazos con la institución. La Observancia será la primera etapa espiritual, pero también institucional, que encarne estos intentos de reforma de la Orden, cristalizando a partir de 1392 en forma de una reforma, antes de la gran reforma católica tridentina. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This work intends to study and update the arrival, implantation or, even refusal of reforms among the Friars Minor in Portugal until Leo’s X bull of 1517, Ite vos, which imposed the reform of the Observance. The friars tried to follow and experiment with different intentions and ways, as voices arose here and there in Europe, to defend the reform of the Order in all its locations. This reform movement adopted various forms, from the poverty of Christ to the return to the origins of the Order, from the imitation of the Founder to the return to eremitism and an attempt to relaunch the Order. As we will see in Portugal, we have some figures, intents, and renewals relative to the Observance from 1392; however, little is known before this date, apart from figures like Fr. Álvaro Pais, bishop of Silves, who called for change, but without cutting the shackles of the institution. This work will examine the spiritual dimension of the Observance but also the institutional dimension, which embodies these attempts of reform in the Order that began to crystalize in 1392 in the form of a reformation that preceded the great Tridentine Catholic Reformation. | pt_PT |
