| dc.description.abstract | O Centro Histórico é um ícone da cidade de Viseu que tem vindo a perder moradores e a aumentar o estado de degradação dos edifícios. Esta área está ocupada por edifícios em que, ainda com algumas características em comum, são evidentes as diferenças de épocas e estilos existentes. Atualmente, é habitado sobretudo por população envelhecida, criando uma dicotomia entre o reduzido número de pessoas que o percorre durante o dia e os jovens que o frequentam para diversão noturna. Perante esta realidade, a presente prova final consiste na reabilitação de um edifício para albergar o programa de habitação coletiva para jovens. O edifício, número 92 da Rua do Comércio, no Centro Histórico de Viseu, data dos finais do século XIX e apresenta algumas particularidades que o tornam aliciante para o desenvolvimento desta residência para estudantes, que albergue jovens que frequentem o ensino universitário. Com esta proposta pretende-se também, através do papel da arquitetura, criar uma maior coesão intergeracional, assim como possibilitar um alojamento digno para os estudantes que frequentem universidades nas proximidades. | dc.description.abstract | The Historic Center is an icon of the city of Viseu that has been losing residents and increasing the state of disrepair of it’s buildings. This area is occupied by buildings in which, even with some features in common, there are obvious the differences of existing eras and styles. Currently, it is inhabited specially by aging population, creating a dichotomy between the small number of people that wanders it during the day and the young people who attend it for nightlife. Given this reality, this final proof consist in the rehabilitation of a building to house the program of collective housing for young people. The building, number 92 in Rua do Comércio, in the Historic Center of Viseu, dates from the late nineteenth century and has some peculiarities that makes it attractive for the development of this residence for students, that also provides lodging for young people who attend to university education. With this proposal it is also aimed, through the role of architecture, to create a greater intergenerational cohesion and allow worthy housing for the students who are attending the universities nearby. It is aimed a coherent intervention, in order to fulfill the general concepts of conservation and keeping in mind the concept of rehabilitation. | |
