Introdução: O capital humano constitui-se como um fator de competitividade e impulsionador das organizações, capaz de lhes dar inteligência, talento e aprendizagem indispensáveis à sua constante renovação num mundo de mudanças e desafios. Neste sentido, a liderança e a vinculação dos indivíduos às organizações torna-se imprescindível para as conduzir à excelência. Materiais e Métodos: pretende-se realizar um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o efeito da liderança no empenhamento organizacional dos enfermeiros. Para a elaboração da questão de investigação, definição de critérios de inclusão e exclusão e análise dos estudos primários, foi utilizado o método PICOS. A questão de investigação que orientou este estudo foi: Qual a influência da liderança no empenhamento organizacional dos enfermeiros? Resultados: Da pesquisa realizada foram encontrados noventa e quatro artigos de investigação e destes foram selecionados sete. Todos os estudos, exceto um, apontam para a existência de influência da liderança no empenhamento organizacional. Na grande maioria das investigações a linha de pesquisa para o estudo da liderança apoia-se fundamentalmente na abordagem transformacional, no entanto, os instrumentos utilizados na sua avaliação são múltiplos. O mesmo acontece relativamente à avaliação do empenhamento organizacional, verificando-se uma diversidade de avaliações relativas a esta variável, bem como a abordagem dos investigadores diverge entre a perspetiva unidimensional e multidimensional. Conclusões: Conclui-se que existe uma evidência sustentada sobre a influência da liderança no empenhamento organizacional dos enfermeiros. Sugere-se a realização de investigações no contexto social e cultural europeu.
Background: The persons are a booster and competitive factor at the organizations; they are able to give them intelligence, talent and learning which are essential to a constant renewal in a world of changes and challenges. So, leadership and people linking to organizations are essential to achieve excellence. Method: The purpose was to describe and synthesize the knowledge concerning the research studies which aimed to understanding the effect of leadership on organizational commitment of nurses. It was used the PICOS method to defining the research question, to achieve the inclusion and exclusion criteria and to analyze the primary studies. The research question that guided this study was: What is the influence of leadership on organizational commitment of nurses? Results: Ninety-four research papers were found and seven of these were selected. All studies except one of them indicate that remain influence of leadership on organizational commitment. The line of research at the mostly studies of leadership is based primarily on transformational approach, however, the instruments used in its evaluation are various. This also happens when the organizational commitment is evaluated. There were a diversity of opinions on this variable and the researchers’ approach differs from the one-dimensional and multidimensional perspective. Conclusions: This systematic literature review supports the effect of leadership on organizational commitment on nurses. It’s suggested to conduct research studies across Europe to study different social and cultural context.
