A narrativa dominante na OTAN é que ela enfrenta as principais ameaças nos flancos sul e leste, mas a narrativa deve destacar a constante ligação entre as diferentes ameaças. A OTAN e a UE são essenciais, pelo que devemos enfatizar a declaração conjunta que deu um novo ímpeto e uma nova substância à parceria estratégica OTAN-UE. A nova assertividade política da administração dos EUA como um apelo à atenção para a Aliança e enfatiza a necessidade de promover os investimentos na defesa bem como a partilha de encargos com a Europa.
The dominant narrative in NATO is that it faces the main threats on the southern and eastern flanks, but the narrative must highlight the constant connection between the different threats. NATO and the EU are essential, so we must emphasize the joint statement which has given new impetus and a new substance to the NATO-EU strategic partnership. The new political assertiveness of the US administration as a call for attention to the Alliance and emphasizes the need to Promote Defense Investments as well as burden sharing with Europe.
