Resumo(s)
The adoption of automation tools in architecture and project management firms reshapes industry workflows, job roles, and organisational dynamics. This thesis investigates the motivations driving the adoption of these tools, the resulting impacts on professional practices, and the challenges companies face during integration. Key areas of exploration include factos influencing the decision to adopt automation tools, their effects on efficiency and collaboration, and strategies organisations employ to overcome barriers. Drawing on qualitative research methods, this study includes interviews with industry professionals to gather insights into real world applications and organisational responses. Findings suggest that firms are motivated by a combination of efficiency gains, competitive pressures, and the desire for innovation while facing challenges such as resistance to change, the need for upskilling, and adapting traditional workflows to new technologies. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of fostering an adaptive organisational culture, offering targeted training, and aligning technology with strategic goals to ensure successful implementation. This research contributes to understanding how automation tools can be effectively integrated into architecture and project management, shaping the future of these professions.
