A presente dissertação tem por base um estágio curricular do Mestrado em Engenharia
do Ambiente realizado na empresa Energia Própria, SA.
A minigeração fotovoltaica é mais uma aposta de Portugal para tentar reduzir a sua
dependência energética.
O objetivo da minigeração fotovoltaica é o de contribuir para o aumento da penetração
das energias renováveis descentralizadas e para o melhoramento da eficiência
energética, ao mesmo tempo que contribui significativamente para a redução das
emissões de gases de efeito de estufa. Assim sendo, no contexto da produção
descentralizada, as minicentrais fotovoltaicas são implementadas nos locais de
consumo, pelo que têm que ser dimensionadas e adaptadas de acordo com o ambiente
onde serão instaladas.
Por esse motivo, a minigeração fotovoltaica levanta novos desafios no seu
dimensionamento e integração em ambiente urbano.
O estágio permitiu a participação no desenvolvimento de dois projetos. O primeiro já
em fase de obra e o segundo em fase de projeto, o que permitiu estudar e concluir que a
produção de energia elétrica recorrendo à minigeração fotovoltaica representa, em
algumas situações e à luz da atual legislação portuguesa, uma alternativa
economicamente atrativa, como um investimento fidedigno numa tecnologia fiável, com
um período de retorno de investimento viável de aproximadamente 13 anos, e cujo o
tempo de vida expectante dos painéis é de longo prazo, podendo por isso ser traduzido
como sendo um investimento proveitoso.
Assim sendo, a minigeração fotovoltaica apresenta-se como um contributo interessante
para um futuro mais sustentável,
This report regards a training placement that took place at the company Self Energia Propriá SA, as a requirement of the MSc program in Environmental Engineering at Escola Superior de Biotecnologia - UCP. Portugal is trying to reduce its energy dependency, through the installing of Minigeneration photovoltaic systems. The goal is to contribute to energy efficiency while contributing significantly to the reduction of emissions and the greenhouse effect. In order to do so, and with the intent of decentralized energy production mini-centers of mini-generation photovoltaic systems are installed on location, where the consumption takes place. For this reason they have to be scaled and adapted according to the environment where they are installed, which creates a new challenge for urban environment planning. During the training time spent at Energia Propria SA, it was possible to participate in the elaboration of two mini-generation photovoltaic projects. The first one was already in the constructing stage, while the second project made it possible to study and come to the conclusion that the production of energy through the use of mini-generation photovoltaic systems, represents in many situations and taking into consideration the current Portuguese laws, a valid economic alternative, that conjures a trustworthy investment on a dependable technology, with a feasible return period of investment of approximately 13 years and a lengthy life-expectancy of the panels which translates into prolonged cost-effectiveness. Mini-generation photovoltaic systems may be an added interesting contribution to a sustainable future.
