In this essay, I wish to understand how it is possible to reject the sacralisation of art - and the denial of the museum as the place of worship of this new religion - taking as starting point an analysis of a religious movement which is notorious for having rejected ancient sacred beliefs, and denied the elementary forms of ancient religion: Christianity. In Christianity, the subversion of the traditional religious exchange occurs from within the religious phenomenon itself - in this same way, by this journey's end we shall better understand the anti-museum as an artistic movement within its own system: a proposed post-religious (post-artistic) relationship with the work of art.
