Este estudo procura reflectir sobre a biografia de Paulo de Tarso, tomando um episódio das suas viagens e esforços evangelizadores como mote para ilustrar um certo sentimento de encruzilhada, tanto sentido no Istmo como entre as recém-formadas comunidades e as tradições antigas: uma tensão que, a ser ultrapassada, definia os caminhos fundamentais do Cristianismo primitivo na sua expansão pelo Mediterrâneo.
This essay intends reflect on the biography of Paul, taking note of an episode of his travels and efforts as illustrative of a certain sense of crossroads, felt in the Isthmus by the Apostle and felt between the newly formed communities and the old traditions, a tension to which overcoming would define the fundamental directions of early Christianity on the move in the Mediterranean.
