ln the past decade, "the cognitive deficits associated with schizophrenia have assumed an increasingly central role in explaining the disability associated with the disorder" (APA, 2004), with resulted in the development of both pharmacologic and psychological treatment responses. Regarding thelast ones, different cognitive rehabilitation approaches have been developed, amongst which is lhe "Cognitive Remediation Therapy" developed by Delahunty et aI. (2002), recently translated and
adapted to Portuguese (Palha et al., 2006) .. The present case-study refers to the first application of the Portuguese version of CRT in a long-term institutionalized schizophrenic patient.
