Ao longo da sua carreira, os profissionais desenvolvem uma perceção da realidade que os envolve. Cada fenómeno traz experiências que são vistas de maneira diferentes e única por cada profissional. Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar a perceção sobre a violência no local de trabalho dos profissionais da emergência pré-hospitalar nos últimos 12 meses. A nível da metodologia, recorreu-se a um estudo quantitativo, descritivo de corte transversal a 12 meses, implementado a nível continental. A amostra foi constituída por 628 profissionais da emergência pré-hospitalar que preencheram um questionário. Os dados foram tratados a nível de estatística descritiva. Embora a discordância sobre a normalidade de violência no local de trabalho, ainda se observa que parte dos participantes sentem que a violência é normal no local de trabalho. A perceção dos profissionais sobre a violência tende a provocar uma mudança de opinião e a alterar a tolerância face ao fenómeno da violência.
Throughout their career, professionals develop a perception of the reality that surrounds them. Each phenomenon brings experiences that are seen in a different and unique way by each professional. This work has the objective to study the perception of violence in the workplace by pre-hospital emergency professionals in the last 12 months. In terms of methodology, a 12 month quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study was used, implemented at a continental level. The sample consisted of 628 pre-hospital emergency professionals who completed a questionnaire. Data were treated at the level of descriptive statistics. Despite the disagreement about the normality of violence in the workplace, it is still observed that part of the participants feel that violence is normal in the workplace. The professionals' perception of violence tends to provoke a change of opinion and alter tolerance towards the phenomenon of violence.
