Abstract(s)
Visible and or open storages become a recurrent phenomenon in the international panorama museum, as a result of deep changes occurred in contemporary postmodern society, of which we highlight the primacy of communication and the collections access. In this article we think over this process and on the concepts behind it in order to understand the experiences undertaken by museums in general in this field, and most of all on the storage organization, management, preservation and divulgation collections policies, towards to elaborate a frame of references of storage conditions best practices. Accordingly the storage of the Musée des Arts et Métiers (Paris) case study is analyzed, since it is considered a museological reference in the European scene.
