Abstract(s)
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the major public health problems in our society, especially in the young adult population. Those who survive will have more or less serious sequels, which can interfere with their personal, social and professional life. They can suffer several types of sequels, like sensorial, motor, cognitive (e.g., memory, executive functions, attention, communication), and behavioral impairments that lead to prolonged or permanent disabilities. One of the main consequences after the injury is difficult to join/rejoin the labour market, due especially to cognitive and behavioral disabilities. The purpose of the present study is to conduct a review of the literature on the effects of TBI, the problems related to the return to work, and the needs of support in order to achieve this goal.
