Perder um irmão até à adolescência: a experiência e o significado na vida adulta

| dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: descrever a experiência de perder um irmão durante a infância e a adolescência. Método:estudo fenomenológico, de natureza interpretativa, no qual participaram vinte e uma pessoas da comunidade, selecionadas intencionalmente, respeitando-se critérios previamente estabelecidos. Para a coleta das informações, foram realizadas entrevistas não estruturadas. Resultados:o fenômeno revelou-se, pela narrativa das participantes, por meio de cinco temas comuns que foram denominados “Ecos da vivência do luto fraterno”; “À procura de uma justificação”; “A felicidade é momentos!”; “Fontes de força interior” e “A vida e a saúde hoje”. Conclusão:reconhece-se a importância na identificação dos sinais e das caraterísticas de uma perda fraterna experienciada durante a infância ou a adolescência e da avaliação do impacto da mesma na sua vida e das suas famílias que podem fundamentar uma intervenção de Enfermagem planejada com vistas a minimizar os efeitos que possam surgir na vida adulta. Identifica-se o impacto da morte da criança na vidados irmãos e de outros conviventes e o modelo de intervenção que aborda necessariamente a relação de ajuda à família enlutada de forma integrada. | dc.description.abstract | Objective: to describe the experience of losing a sibling during childhood and adolescence. Method:a phenomenological study, of an interpretative nature, in which twenty-one people from the community participated, selected intentionally, respecting previously established criteria. For the collection of information, unstructured interviews were conducted. Results:the phenomenon was revealed, through the narrative of the participants, through five common themes that were denominated "Echoes of the experience of the fraternal mourning"; "In search of justification"; "Happiness is moments!"; "Sources of inner strength" and "Life and health today". Conclusion:the importance of identifying the signs and characteristics of a fraternal loss experienced during childhood or adolescence and of the evaluation of the impact of it on their life and of their families, which can support a planned Nursing intervention with a view to effects that may arise in adult life. It identifies the impact of the child's death on the lives of siblings and other cohabitants and the intervention model that necessarily addresses the relationship of help to the bereaved family in an integrated way.
