O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre o contexto atual, o valor e o lugar que ocupam as escolas católicas com contrato de associação
São referidas três dificuldades que a Escola Católica enfrenta na atualidade: a incerteza do financiamento das escolas com contrato de associação; o reconhecimento do direito dos pais e encarregados de educação de escolherem livremente a escola para os seus filhos e a afirmação clara de um projeto educativo específico baseado na conceção cristã da realidade.
The aim of this text is to think about the present context, value and place of the Catholic state-financed schools. Nowadays, Catholic Schools face three difficulties: the uncertainty over public funding to these schools by the State; the recognition of the parents’ right to choose a school for their children and the affirmation of a specific educative project based on a Christian vision of reality.
