Este estudo visa analisar a influência e impacto das crenças religiosas dos antigos Israelitas nas suas atividades laborais. Consideramos as diferentes semânticas dos lemas hebraicos adotados para significar o labor quotidiano dos homens e realçamos o papel preponderante nele desempenhado pelo Deus do povo hebreu.
We propose to study the influence and impact of ancient Israelites’ religious beliefs on their working activities. Different semantics of the Hebrew lemmas for “work” are considered, as well as the primary role played by the God of Israel in the people’s daily labour.
