Funcionando como um laboratório, a observação do grupo português dos Cristãos pelo Socialismo possibilitará desenvolver uma reflexão alargada referente à heterogeneidade do universo católico português. No presente artigo, temos como objetivo mapear os principais eixos do debate deste conjunto de cristãos que «fizeram uma opção socialista», em ordem a decifrar a preponderância e o papel desta parcela do movimento católico enquanto dinâmica de militância político-religiosa no início da década de 1970 em Portugal.
Working as a laboratory, the observation of the Portuguese branch of Christians by Socialism will enable the development of a broad reflection regarding the heterogeneity of the Portuguese Catholic universe. In this article, we aim to map the main axes of the debate of this group of Christians who “made a socialist choice”, in order to decipher the preponderance and role of this portion of contemporary Catholicism as a dynamic of political-religious militancy in the early 1970’s.
