| dc.description.abstract | Este artigo tem como objetivo reconstruir e analisar os debates e pactos ocorridos entre autoridades civis e eclesiásticas em torno do padroado no México entre 1821 e 1835, para compreender as posições dos atores envolvidos e a forma como esse debate deu lugar a três momentos: o debate das posições entre regalistas e canonistas entre 1821 e 1827; a busca de acordos entre 1827 e 1831 e, por fim, o conflito entre Igreja e Estado entre 1833 e 1834. Neste último processo destaca-se o interesse do governo mexicano em consolidar-se como a autoridade máxima do país e a constituição de um novo projeto eclesial a partir de 1834, que a hierarquia eclesiástica inequivocamente chamou Igreja Mexicana. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper reconstructs and analyzes the debates and agreements that took place in Mexico between civil and ecclesiastical authorities around the patronage between 1821 and 1835. Doing so, we try to understand the positions of the actors involved and the way in which this debate gave way to three moments: the debate of the positions between regalists and canonists between 1821 and 1827; the search for agreements between 1827 and 1831 and, finally, the conflict between Church and State between 1833 and 1834. In this last process, the interest of the Mexican government to consolidate itself as the highest authority in the country and the creation of an ecclesiastical project that the ecclesiastical hierarchy unequivocally called the Mexican Church since 1834. | pt_PT |
