- Construction and evaluation of an educational video: nursing assessment and intervention of patients’ spiritual needsPublication . Rodrigues, Juliane Cristina; Miranda, Talita Prado Simão; Fulquini, Francine Lima; Guilherme, Caroline; Caldeira, Sílvia; Carvalho, Emilia Campos deSpirituality is particularly important in health and illness transitions and is a fundamental dimension of healthcare. However, nurses often feel underprepared to provide spiritual care and the use of dynamic and interactive strategies, such as educational videos, can facilitate the development of this competency in undergraduate education. This study aimed to construct and evaluate an educational video lasting 10 min and 52 s for nursing students concerning the assessment of patients’ spiritual needs. The methodological study was based on the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of the video with an evaluation of the comprehension and comprehensiveness of the content. The results demonstrated the pre-production phase was considered appropriate by the judges and allowed the phase of production of the educational video, considered an educational resource by 100% the experts. Nursing students were enrolled in the evaluation and 75% considered the content and the learning experience useful for their future roles as nurses. So, the educational video was considered a tool that facilitated deepening knowledge about spirituality and motivated students to assess spirituality in clinical practice.
- Modeling the puzzle of hepatitis C epidemiology in Romania: a pathway to controlPublication . Lopes, Henrique; Baptista-Leite, Ricardo; Franco, Diogo; Eclemea, Irina; Bratu, Eugenia C.; Furtunescu, Florentina L.; Pop, Corina Silvia; Pana, Bogdan C.Background & Aims: To combat hepatitis C virus (HCV) and achieve its elimination by 2030, the emphasis should be on public health policies. In this study, we investigated the dynamics of epidemiology of HCV in Romanian risk groups that are characterized by higher occurrence densities with the aid of The Let’s End HepC (LEHC) project. Methods: The LEHC project addressed the modelling of HCV epidemiology, being applied in several countries, one of which is Romania. The model comprised an integrated solution of public health policies focused on the disease, using Adaptive Conjoint Analysis and Markov chains systems. This tool allowed the quantitative evaluation of public health policies‘ impact, for every year until 2030, in five population groups: people who inject drugs (PWID), prisoners, individuals who have received blood products, children at risk for vertical transmission, and the remnant population. Results: It appears that Romania was already making great efforts in the context of public policies, allowing the achievement of HCV elimination by 2028 if current policies were maintained. Through additional work and greater efforts in further implementing public policies, the LEHC model estimated the possibility of anticipating this outcome to 2026. Conclusion: The LEHC model estimated an anticipation of the HCV elimination year in Romania to be 2026 if the twenty-four health policies in the study are fully implemented and consistently maintained over the years.
- Searching for Better 3D Baseline StimuliPublication . Silva, Manuel; Teixeira, Luis Miguel Lopes; Ferreira, Miguel; Oliveira-Silva, PatriciaThe use of accurate and appropriate physiological baseline procedures is essential in experimental paradigms in the field of neuroscience. However, the most challenging parts of designing a new study for experimental laboratory studies, especially when using psychophysiological measures, is the choice of the appropriate stimuli for the baseline or control task, in order to compute reactivity. This study aimed to select and validate the most suitable image category to be used as a baseline task, through self-report and physiological measures. The images were selected according to a previous baseline, but adding the 3D and virtual world component, which is the foundation of our experiment. An experiment comprising a number of visual stimuli (15 images) in a virtual world using a Virtual Reality system, in which we assessed valence and arousal through self-report measures after visualizing each stimulus. Our discussion will emphasize the challenges involved in choosing an appropriate type of stimuli for baseline tasks and suggest that caution is never wasted.

- Collusion between two-sided platformsPublication . Lefouili, Yassine; Pinho, JoanaWe study the price and welfare effects of collusion between two-sided platforms and show that they depend on whether collusion occurs on both sides or a single side of the market, and whether users single-home or multi-home. Our most striking result is that one-sided collusion leads to lower (resp. higher) prices on the collusive (resp. competitive) side if the cross-group externalities exerted on the collusive side are positive and sufficiently strong. One-sided collusion may, therefore, benefit the users on the collusive side and harm the users on the competitive side. Our findings have implications regarding cartel detection and damages actions.

- Hospitalidade e religião nómada: identidade para além da violênciaPublication . Duque, João ManuelA strict notion of identity, defined either by its territoriality or by its cultural or individualistic reduction, can find support in a conception of religion whose sole reference is to a single true God or to a sacrificial process, leading to an inevitable relationship between religion and violence. In this paper, however, another principle, inspired by Paul Ricoeur, Jacques Derrida, Jan Patocka and Emmanuel Levinas, has been adopted. It explores the excessive and gratuitous nature of the religious, interpreted as responsibility and concretely applicable to the dynamics of unconditional hospitality Such an approach gives rise to nomadic religious identities that, in principle, should be immune to the possibility of violence, unless it is, for reasons of identity, a "violence" against violence.
