- O cuidado especializado à pessoa em situação crítica e família no processo de doação de órgãos e tecidosPublication . Nunes, Rafael Filipe Alves; Mendes, Maria Manuela Madureira LebreThe purpose of this report is to carefully reflect the entire journey undertaken, concurrent with the acquisition/development of the common and specific competences of the Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Person in a Critical Situation, as defined by the Order of Nurses, and the Master's competences, based on article 15 of the legal regime for higher education degrees and diplomas. This report describes the personal objectives set, the main activities carried out and the results obtained in the different fields of the internship, which took place in the context of the Emergency Department, in an intensive care unit - Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) reference center and the Harvest and Transplant Coordination Office, using a descriptive, analytical and critical-reflective methodology. The achievement of the objectives outlined made it possible to analyze the development of skills throughout this journey, and to identify the extent to which these specialized skills contribute to the quality of care and excellence in the exercise of the profession, supported by a practice based on the search for evidence, as an essential condition of a Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing. The theoretical framework for this training course was Afaf Meleis’ Transitions Theory, as it offers a view of the potential organ and tissue donor and their family/significant other, who are subject to multiple transitions, as it affects both parties. It is up to the nurse to help raise awareness of the situation, in order to make a transition and rebalance, regardless of whether or not there are sequelae. In order to promote the training process on the subject of organ and tissue donation, the review question arose: What are the nursing interventions in the process of organ and tissue donation in intensive care? This was operationalized through a scoping review.
