| dc.description.abstract | Pretendemos mostrar com este artigo que o romance Les Liaisons dangereuses de Choderlos de Laclos não é só um livro de licenciosidade sexual e uma bíblia da libertinagem, mas antes uma descrição complexa e subtil da condição da mulher francesa no século XVIII. De entre as personagens femininas isolámos duas que nos parecem simbólicas: a vítima (Mme de Tourvel) e a rapariguinha (Cécile), por serem as mais fracas e por terem em comum a sua educação monástica que parece ter sido um factor de alienação. Mostramos de igual modo que os três ensaios de Laclos, Des Femmes et de leur éducation, não são só uma continuação do romance, mas também a sua contrapartida teórica. Relativamente à condição feminina e à sua educação, os três ensaios e o romance levam-nos a confirmar que Laclos não só critica a sociedade em que viveu, mas parece preconizar uma revolta da mulher, a qual ocorrerá alguns anos depois. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper has the aim to show that Laclo's novel Les Liaisons dangereuses is not only a handbook of sexual licentiousness and a bible of debauchery, but is is rather a complex and subtle description of the condition of french women in the eighteenth-century. From all the female characters, we have isolated two symbolic representations: the victim (Mme de Tourvel) and the young girl (Cécile), because they are the weakest ones and they have in common their monastic education which was a factor of alienation. We have showed that Laclo's three essays, Des Femmes et de leur education, are not only a logical continuation of the novel but also its theoretical counterpart. In relation to the condition of women and their education, the three essays and the novel allow us to confirm that Laclos does not only criticize the society he lives in but preconizes a feminine rebellion which will effectivelly occur later. | |
