Abstract(s)
Hoje em dia a literatura infantil portuguesa percorre caminhos de grande inovação, experimentalismo e qualidade, estando ao nível da de outros países. Assim, tem resistido a um contexto de crise económica e desinvestimento cultural, em que o equilíbrio entre a dimensão ética e pedagógica da literatura infantil, por um lado, e a vertente comercial, por outro, é sempre mais ténue. Tal se deve a três diferentes gerações de escritores e a ilustradores de reconhecido mérito, que, conjuntamente, dignificam a atual literatura para os mais novos.
Nowadays Portuguese children’s literature is making its way towards great innovation, experimentalism and quality, being side by side with the literature from abroad. Thus, it has resisted to a context of economic crisis and cultural disinvestment, in which the balance between the ethic and pedagogic dimension on the one hand, and the economic aspect on the other, is always weaker. We owe that to three different generations of writers and to well-reputed illustrators, who together dignify today’s literature for young children.
