| dc.description.abstract | A intervenção com famílias é uma acção autónoma dos enfermeiros. Na saúde mental está comprovado que é um importante recurso, com ganhos em saúde para os nossos utentes, e um ganho para as próprias famílias enquanto nosso "sujeito de cuidados". A avaliação e a intervenção familiar não têm o objectivo de resolver problemas. Pretendem ir ao encontro de um sistema, com necessidades potencialmente sensíveis aos nossos cuidados, e que, com o nosso envolvimento, pode fazer emergir um estado de menor sofrimento e maior ajuste emocional. Este artigo pretende fazer uma revisão sobre o significado de "família", sua natureza e complexidade e como avaliar esse sistema. Pretende sugerir, com base na pesquisa e numa reflexão sobre a prática e experiência do autor nas entrevistas familiares, bases de partida para as intervenções dos enfermeiros. A abordagem do autor tem uma orientação sistémica e assume a pertinência deste modelo na Enfermagem. O resultado pode ser considerado um guia orientador nos contextos dos cuidados em Saúde Mental, mas pode ser utilizado em quase todos os contextos da nossa prática. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Family-directed interventions constitute an autonomous nursing action. ln the field of mental health, such interventions have proven to be a pivotal nursing resource which may result in important health gains not only for our clients but for their families as well the latter which also constitute "care receivers”. The objective of family evaluation and intervention is not merely to solve specific problems. Our aim is to consider the family system as a whole, with needs that are potentially sensitive to our care, and that, with our involvement, may lead to states of lesser pain and suffering, as well as greater emotional adjustment. This article offers a review of the concept of "family”, its nature and complexity, while simultaneously presenting a set of suggestions as to how such systems may be analyzed. Drawing from both research and reflection based on the author's personal experience in conducting family interviews, the present article likewise aims to offer a framework for nursing interventions. The author's approach is systemic in nature, and recognizes the pertinence of this approach in both the nursing field. The end result of this endeavor may thus be regarded as a set of guidelines in the context of Mental Health Care; however, it should be noted that the suggestions herein offered may likewise be applied to virtually all contexts of nursing practice. | en |
