O texto procura fazer uma relação comparativa entre duas obras mariológicas
situadas em dois contextos históricos e culturais tão distintos, como seja a de António de Sousa Macedo, no séc. XVII e a Doutora Maria Manuela Carvalho, hoje, já no séc. XXI, para mostrar a continuidade, mas também a diferença metodológica e sistemática
entre as duas abordagens e relevar a novidade e o contributo do trabalho teológico da Doutora Maria Manuela Carvalho, que é o objectivo deste ensaio de homenagem, que traduz também o apreço e a amizade que nos unem, como condiscípulos de longa data
e peregrinos na mesma busca da verdade que constitui o logos da teologia.
This text seeks to draw a comparison between two Mariological works from two distinct historical and cultural contexts, namely of António de Sousa Macedo, in the 17th century, and Maria Manuela Carvalho, today, in the 21st, in order to show continuity but also a methodological and systemic difference between the two approaches and to show the novelty and contribution of the theological work of Maria Manuela Carvalho, which is the aim of this text of homage, reflecting also the respect and friendship which unites us, as fellow students of many years and pilgrims in the search of the truth that constitutes the logos of theology.
