Among the main tasks performed by the linguist, the analysis of the spontaneous conception of signification stands out. According to this conceptionm the semantic value of a sentence lies in its conditions of truth, that is, in telling under which conditions a sentence is true or false. We will try to demonstrate that this informative, vericonditional or pseudological conception of signification, even though it is con-stantly discussed by the linguists or even philosophers, has not been discussed enough. We advise, as a solution, to unveil to which aim we are led to produce a given statement and will point out first that not only is meaning argumentative but also signification engraved in the proper language.
