O presente Poster descreve o processo de construção de um recurso em Microsoft Power BI para apoio na seleção de revistas científicas para publicação. A ferramenta tem na sua base um processo de combinação de diversas fontes, como a Scopus, a Web of Science, o DOAJ, a Scimago, a b-on ou o INDEXAR e reúne informações como o quartil, a área de conhecimento ou as modalidades de publicação, permitindo aos utilizadores a navegação através de filtros e mecanismos de pesquisa livre nos títulos e descrições das revistas. O objetivo consiste em auxiliar investigadores no processo de seleção de publicações, tendo em conta os objetivos das respetivas unidades de investigação assim como as políticas de Acesso Aberto das suas instituições e agências de financiamento nacionais e internacionais, facilitando em simultâneo as equipas das bibliotecas que dão suporte nesta matéria. Atualmente, a ferramenta encontra-se em fase de testes, prevendo-se para breve a sua disponibilização pública.
This poster describes the process of developing a Microsoft Power BI resource designed to support the selection of scientific journals for publication. The tool is based on the integration of multiple sources, including Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, Scimago, b-on, and INDEXAR, and brings together information such as journal quartile, subject area, and publishing models. It enables users to navigate through filters and perform free-text searches across journal titles and descriptions. The aim is to assist researchers in the journal selection process, taking into account the objectives of their respective research units, as well as the Open Access policies of their institutions and national and international funding agencies. At the same time, it supports library teams that provide guidance and assistance in this area. The tool is currently undergoing testing and is expected to be made publicly available in the near future.
