| dc.description.abstract | A figura do testemunho garante a ligação entre a realidade histórica de Jesus e o conhecimento que dele nos é transmitido. Uma tradição milenar, já presente no AT, esclarece-nos sobre esse conceito. Pertence-lhe um aspecto jurídico, como garantia da veracidade daquilo que se testemunha. O testemunho (martyria), que pode ser selado com o próprio sangue, é figura fundamental no NT, como razão de ser última dos escritos que o compõem. Deste modo, há um sentido profundo nos textos neotestamentários que constitui a sua última razão de ser. A interpretação que desvela o sentido dos factos, não pode ser a dos “mestres da suspeita”, mas a dos crentes que veêm aí o próprio cerne do testemunho como garantia da veracidade dos acontecimentos. É este cerne do testemunho que é explicitado pelas confissões de fé. Estas só podem ser entendidas à luz da sua própria historicidade e da historicidade dos factos que testemunham. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The figure of the eyewitness guarantees a connection between the historical reality of Jesus and the knowledge of Him that is transmitted to us. There is something juridical about the witness, as a guarantee of the veracity of what has been witnessed. The witness (martyria), who may be sealed with his/her own blood, is a fundamental figure in the NT, as an ultimate raison d’être of the scriptures that it comprises. In this way, there is a profound sense in the NT texts that constitutes his/her ultimate raison d’être. The interpretation that discloses the sense of the facts may not be that of the “masters of suspicion”, but that of believers who see there the very essence of the witness as a guarantee of the veracity of events. It is this essence of the witness that is made explicit in confessions of faith. Thesemay only be understood in the light of their own historicity and the historicity of the facts to which they testify. | en |
