No âmbito do Mestrado em Ciências Religiosas e para conclusão da Prática de Ensino
Supervisionada (PES) realizada nos Salesianos de Manique – Escola, no ano letivo de 2018-
2019, apresento este Relatório Final sobre a temática do sofrimento.
Tendo como unidade de referência a Unidade letiva 3 do manual do 7º ano, do Programa de
Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica, “Riqueza e Sentido dos Afetos”, e constatando que o
tema do sofrimento não é abordado na etapa fundamental da vida que é a adolescência,
proponho-me, neste trabalho, desenvolver uma proposta pedagógica para o incluir.
Sofremos. É um facto decorrente da condição de ser-se humano. Pode sofrer-se de muitas
maneiras: de tristeza, de desilusão, de abatimento, de perda, de angústia, de desespero. Existe,
no entanto, sofrimento que pode e deve ser evitado, mas há também aquele que surge
inesperadamente e que atinge o ser humano no mais profundo do seu ser, podendo,
inclusivamente, destruí-lo.
Sofremos. E agora? Com este trabalho não pretendo fazer um elogio do sofrimento, mas sim
contribuir, de algum modo, para que jovens e crianças aprendam a lidar com as situações dolorosas
com que se vão deparando. Perante estas, só existe uma possibilidade: escolher a maneira como as
vivemos.
É nosso papel, enquanto educadores, ajudar os jovens na busca e no encontro do seu próprio
caminho, na certeza de que esse percurso terá algumas dificuldades e problemas que vão ter
de saber ultrapassar. E cada vitória terá um sabor especial e constituirá uma verdadeira
conquista interior.
Having as scope the Master in Religious Sciences degree and the conclusion of the Supervised Teaching Practice (PES), held in the academic year 2018-2019, in the Salesianos of Manique School, I present this Final Report on suffering. The Unit of reference is Teaching Unit 3, 7th Year Manual of the Portuguese Catholic Religious and Moral Education Program, "Wealth and Sense of Affection". Noticing that the theme of suffering is not addressed in the fundamental stage of life which is the adolescence, I suggest, in this work, developing a pedagogical proposal to include it in it. We suffer. This is a fact arising from the condition of being human. We can suffer in many ways: sadness, disappointment, depression, loss, anguish, hopelessness. Nevertheless, there is suffering that can and should be avoided, but there is also that suffering which arises unexpectedly and reaches mankind in the depths of his being, and may even destroy that being. We suffer. What’s next? With this work I do not intend to praise suffering, but rather to contribute, in some way, to young people and children learning how to deal with the painful situations they will inevitably encounter. Facing these situations, there is only one possibility: to choose the way how we live them. It is our role, as educators, to help young people searching and finding their own way, in the certainly that this path will have some difficulties and problems that they will have to know how to overcome. And each victory will have a special taste and will be a true personal achievement.
