| dc.description.abstract | This thesis investigates the influence of a leader’s life cycle and their surroundings on their use of transformational leadership. The purpose of this work was to understand whether relevant personality and life cycle variables impact leaders’ engagement in transformational leadership behaviour. Using a mixed methods research, findings suggest that there are some relevant life cycle variables, such as having a mentor and moments of higher caring for another individual, that are related to leaders’ use of a transformational leadership style. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Esta tese investiga a influência do ciclo de vida de um líder e do seu meio envolvente na utilização da liderança transformacional. O objetivo deste trabalho foi compreender se as variáveis relevantes da personalidade e do ciclo de vida têm impacto no envolvimento dos líderes no comportamento de liderança transformacional. Utilizando um tipo de investigação de métodos mistos, os resultados sugerem que existem algumas variáveis relevantes do ciclo de vida, tais como ter um mentor e momentos de maior preocupação com outro indivíduo, que estão relacionadas com a utilização pelos líderes de um estilo de liderança transformacional. | pt_PT |
