Abstract(s)
Impostora”.
A análise procurou responder à seguinte
Mulher” (2015), “Santa Bárbara” (2015) e “A Impostora” (2016)?
A phenomenon of audiences in Portugal, the telenovela plays a major role in the television outlook. As Albuquerque and Vieira (1995) refer, the telenovela is, today, a key and unavoidable format in the fight for the first place of the audiences. For, as Burnay and Ribeiro (2016: 28) refer "The telenovelas are the fictional content with the greatest expression in Portuguese television". This report aims to analyse and classify the types of stereotype present in Portuguese television telenovelas. Three TVI (Televisão Independente) telenovelas were selected: “A Única Mulher” (2015), “Santa Bárbara” (2015) e “A Impostora” (2016). This choice stems from the fact of having completed the internship at Plural Entertainment, the producer of these telenovelas. For the study, the telenovelas were viewed and to complete the empirical work, interviews and their respective analysis of content were done. The analysis sought to answer the following question: What stereotypes exist in the characters of the telenovelas “A Única Mulher”, “Santa Bárbara” e “A Impostora”? The result of the analysis evidences the presence of the stereotypes in the three telenovelas, being possible to find type characterizations.
