Abstract(s)
O nosso processo de aprendizagem, orientado para a aquisição de competências especializadas em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediatria, decorreu em diferentes contextos assistenciais: situações de urgência, doença aguda, doença crónica e unidade de Neonatologia do Centro Hospitalar do Tâmega e Sousa. Durante a assistência especializada traçamos objetivos específicos e desenvolvemos várias atividades. Consideramos que o Enfermeiro Especialista de Saúde Infantil e Pediatria, é um profissional detentor de conhecimentos científicos atualizados, competências técnicas, comunicacionais e de relação de ajuda, que procura fazer o melhor que sabe e pode no desenrolar dos cuidados á criança e sua família. Contudo, destacamos algumas atividades que podem ser implementadas, para uma assistência mais humanizada á criança e família hospitalizada. São elas: melhorar o acolhimento e a preparação da criança e sua família para o processo da doença e da hospitalização, recorrendo á utilização de material lúdico pedagógico, para que por meio da brincadeira, representação, ou conto de histórias, seja possível amenizar os fatores de stress decorrentes da hospitalização; aumentar a utilização de medidas não farmacológicas para minimizar sentimentos de dor e desconforto, que acentuam o medo e receio da hospitalização; reforçar o ensino das competências parentais; desenvolver e melhorar a comunicação, entre os profissionais de saúde, entre os serviços e os diferentes níveis de cuidados, para que seja possível estabelecer parcerias e uma continuidade de cuidados na assistência á criança e sua família de forma a garantir a qualidade dos cuidados e evitar a rehospitalização. Consideramos, que os enfermeiros são a peça fundamental, no seio da equipa de saúde capazes de implementar estas mudanças, sendo necessária uma consciencialização e reflexão crítica constante das suas práticas.

However , we feel that there is still a long way to go for a more humanized care the child is hospitalized family that goes through : improving care and preparation of the child and his family to the disease process and hospitalization , resorting to the use ludic, pedagogical material, so that through play , representation , or storytelling , it is possible to minimize stress factors resulting from hospitalization, increase the use of nonpharmacological measures to reduce feelings of pain and discomfort , which accentuate the fear and fear of hospitalization, improve the teaching of parenting skills , developing and improving communication between health professionals , services and between the different levels of care , so that you can establish partnerships and continuity of care will assist the child and his family to ensure the quality of care and prevent hospital readmissions .
