| Abstract: | Mini Mapa Sonoro Project (Mini Sound Map) consists of a series of workshops held in a school context and a sound maps archive. The workshops take place in the schools of the Municipality of Braga, aiming to expose students of the second and third cycle (9-13 years old) to new technologies applied to art and soundscapes. Mini Mapa Sonoro invites a group to make their own trip through the sound heritage of Braga. Starting from six emblematic places for the students around the school, the adventure involves creating an illustration of their own sound map and recording the sounds that surround them. At the end, these maps will be available online in the form of an interactive visual and sound map. This paper describes the process and motivation behind the creation of the project concept, workshop plan, tools, the results we have achieved so far, and the feedback we have had from students and teachers. We also discuss further applications and plans for the future. |
