O sofrimento de Deus : uma leitura sistemática a partir de Jo 11,33-37

Abstract

Neste terceiro milénio, como as irmãs de Lázaro (cf. Jo 11,21; cf. Jo 11,32), corremos perplexos pelos caminhos da história diante do fenómeno do sofrimento. Este complexo e exigente problema recoloca, no centro do debate teológico, a reflexão acerca do sofrimento de Deus. Se o advento de Deus no evento do ser humano dá-se e diz-se na história, que a partir daí é história comum do ser humano e de Deus, qual o sentido do sofrimento dos inocentes que são expostos a essa experiência, desde o primeiro momento? Mediante acutilantes inquietações, propomos uma análise sistemática que se inicia com um estudo sumário de uma perícope fundante (Jo 11,33-37), e continua com uma reflexão acerca da plausibilidade da afirmação do sofrimento de Deus e seguindo atentamente o pensamento do teólogo francês François Varillon.

In this third millennium, like the sisters of Lazarus (cf. Jn 11,21, cf. Jn 11,32), we are perplexed by the path of history in the face of the suffering phenomenon. This complex and demanding problem puts the reflection on the suffering of God at the center of the theological debate. If the advent of God in the event of the human being occurs and is said in history, that from there is the common history of the human being and God, what is the meaning of the innocent suffering who are exposed to this experience, from the first moment? Therefore, we propose a systematic analysis that begins with a summary study of a founding pericope (Jn 11,33-37), seeking to elaborate a reflection on the plausibility of the affirmation that God's suffering, following the thought of the French theologian François Varillon.
