| Abstract: | The episode of the empirical reflection on the origin of the sneeze, in the tragicomedy 'Iosephus', clearly shows the importance of the ideological changes that was felt in the cultural context that involved the appearence of this play, whose representation has occurred in the real College of Arts in Coimbra, probably in 1574. Is this inqiring spirit which is also manifested at the epic poem of the 'Os Lusíadas'. |
