Sousa, Ana Sabrina Silva eCordeiro, Nelson Filipe Cruz2023-04-262023-04-262022-12-142022-09http://hdl.handle.net/10400.14/40958A realização deste relatório de estágio surge no âmbito do curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem com especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área da Pessoa em Situação Crítica, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto, e tem como objetivo descrever e analisar as competências académicas, pessoais e profissionais adquiridas ao longo dos estágios como Enfermeiro Especialista. O presente relatório pretende expor e refletir sobre o percurso que levou à aquisição de competências especializadas. Assim, optei por abordar o estágio desenvolvido ainda no primeiro ano de curso, em que reflito sobre o início da aquisição de competências especializadas. Posteriormente, a contextualização dos locais de estágio da atual unidade curricular, e que me permitiram desenvolver e refletir, criticamente, sobre as atividades que levaram à aquisição e aperfeiçoamento de competências de enfermeiro especialista, baseado nos quatro domínios de competências comuns. As atividades desenvolvidas surgiram numa perspetiva de otimizar os cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica, de forma segura e diferenciada. Para tal, desenvolvi uma revisão da literatura sobre a carga de trabalho em enfermagem numa unidade de cuidados intensivos, o que me permitiu adquirir competências na busca pela melhor e mais recente evidência científica o que, na prática, permite a otimização e a diferenciação de cuidados ao doente crítico. Durante este percurso foram desenvolvidas novas competências e aprimoradas as já adquiridas enquanto enfermeiro generalista, nomeadamente no contacto com a pessoa em situação crítica e a sua família, de forma a manter as funções básicas de vida do doente, a prevenir complicações com base numa prestação de cuidados de excelência e mantendo como objetivo a recuperação total do doente. O cuidado ético, a promoção da dignidade e da privacidade, o controlo e prevenção de infeções associadas aos cuidados de saúde foram conhecimentos aperfeiçoados que, aliados aos previamente descritos, permitiram a aquisição de competências diferenciados, nomeadamente o cuidar da pessoa e da família a vivenciar processos de doença complexos, a otimização do ambiente e processos terapêuticos e a prevenção e controlo de infeção perante o doente crítico. Concluído este percurso, consideram-se adquiridas as competências de enfermeiro especialista, bem como as capacidades para colocar em prática as competências técnicas e humanas dirigidas à pessoa em situação crítica.This internship report comes within the scope of the Nursing Master's Degree course with a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of the Person in Critical Situation, at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, of Porto, and aims to describe and analyze the academic, personal and professional’s skills acquired during internships as Specialist Nurse. This report aims to expose and reflect on the path that led to the acquisition of specialized skills. First, I chose to approach the internship developed in the first year of the course, in which I reflect on the beginning of the acquisition of specialized skills. Subsequently, the contextualization of the internship locations of the current curricular unit, which allowed me to develop and reflect, critically, about the activities that led to the acquisition and improvement of specialist nurse skills, based on the four domains of common skills. The activities developed emerged from a perspective of optimizing care for the person in a critical situation, in a safe and differentiated perspective. For this reason, I developed a review of the literature on nursing workload in an intensive care unit, which allowed me to acquire skills in the search for the best and most recent scientific evidences, which, in practice, allows the optimization and differentiation of care to the critically ill. During this journey, new skills were developed and those already acquired as a generalist nurse were improved, namely in contact with the person in a critical situation and their family, in order to maintain the basic functions of the patient's life, to prevent complications based on the provision of excellent care and keeping the patient's total recovery as a goal. Ethical care, the promotion of dignity and privacy, the control and prevention of infections associated with health care were improved knowledge that, combined with those previously described, allowed the acquisition of differentiated skills, namely the care of the person and the family to experience complex disease processes, the optimization of the environment and therapeutic processes and the prevention and control of infection for the critically ill patient.
