Morais, Catarina Tavares de CastroAraújo, Rúben André Ramalho2021-09-202021-09-202021-07-162021-07http://hdl.handle.net/10400.14/34988O presente estudo procurou analisar (1) se os comportamentos parentais positivos e negativos predizem a orientação motivacional para a mestria e para o ego (respetivamente) face à prática desportiva dos filhos, (2) se os comportamentos comunicacionais positivos e negativos predizem a orientação motivacional para a mestria e para o ego (respetivamente) relativamente ao desporto dos filhos e (3) as diferenças de perceção relativamente à adoção de comportamentos parentais, comportamentos comunicacionais e orientação motivacional entre as figuras parentais, em função do género. Foi aplicado um questionário online a 87 pais e mães de atletas de futebol e futsal de formação. Os resultados mostraram que (a) as expectativas que pais e mães têm face ao futuro dos filhos prediz a orientação motivacional para a mestria e a insatisfação com o rendimento desportivo dos filhos prediz a orientação motivacional para o ego das figuras parentais, (b) os comportamentos comunicacionais positivos espontâneos predizem a orientação motivacional para a mestria e que (c) os pais percecionam níveis superiores de reações negativas face a resultados desportivos desfavoráveis dos filhos, níveis superiores de comportamentos negativos reativos e ainda de uma maior orientação motivacional para o ego, em comparação com as mães.The current study sought to analyze (1) whether positive and negative parenting behaviors predict motivational orientation towards mastery and ego (respectively) in relation to children's sports practice, (2) whether positive and negative communicational behaviors predict motivational orientation for task and for the ego (respectively) regarding the children's sport and (3) the differences in perception regarding the adoption of parental behaviors, communicational behaviors and motivational orientation between the parental figures, depending on gender. An online questionnaire was applied to 87 fathers and mothers of football and futsal youth athletes.
