O objetivo é de incluir a canção portuguesa como mais uma forma metódica e pedagógica para o aluno e assim dar-lhe a oportunidade de este se familiarizar desde muito cedo com uma fonte musical e cultural do seu próprio país de origem. A edição pretende apoiar o ensino do instrumento nas escolas de música portuguesa, fornecendo um suporte pedagógico para o repertório do ensino de iniciação do violino. Para contextualização metódica e pedagógica deste projeto foram revistas três áreas: (1) A área do ensino precoce, que foca a literatura da pedagogia e psicologia aplicada ao aluno. (2) A área de literatura que analisa uma seleção de métodos de violino considerando conceitos tradicionais tal como métodos de iniciação. (3) A área que viabiliza a utilização de canções portuguesas para a iniciação do ensino de violino num contexto didático e cultural. Esta revisão mostra a origem da canção e de compositores nacionais que utilizaram elementos da música tradicional portuguesa nas suas obras em geral e em específico para violino. Os resultados obtidos nas três áreas revistas contextualizaram a base para a edição de nove canções populares portuguesas numa forma metódica – instrumental. Posteriormente as canções foram ainda experimentadas em aula com um grupo de alunos de iniciação de violino para testar a sua viabilidade prática. As opiniões e experiências dos alunos foram recolhidas em entrevistas semi - estruturadas e analisadas no âmbito da investigação apresentada. As considerações finais focam-se na possível divulgação do repertório em contexto de investigação, salientando a importância do papel do professor. É de salientar ainda recomendações para futuras adaptações/divulgação do repertório e é sugerida a procura de perspetivas multidimensionais no ensino precoce.This essay is an educational project, which will provide for publishing a book about violin and piano pieces based on traditional Portuguese music. The goal is to include the Portuguese song in a methodical and educational way for students, thus, giving them the opportunity, from a very early age, to become familiar with the culture and music background around them. The publication aims to support the violin teaching in Portuguese music schools, providing an educational support for the violin initiation learning. For a theoretical contextualization of this project, three areas were reviewed: (1) The area of early education, with a focus on the educational literature and psychology applied to the student. (2) The literature area, in which a selection of violin methods was analyzed, considering traditional concepts, such as the initiation methods. (3) The area that enables the use of Portuguese songs for the beginning of violin teaching in an educational and cultural context. The review shows the origin of the traditional song and the national composers who used elements of traditional Portuguese music in their work, in general and specific to the violin. The results in all of the three revised areas contextualize the basis for editing nine Portuguese folk songs in a methodical way - instrumental. The songs have been practiced in class with a group of beginner violin students to test their feasibility and practical application. The students’ opinions and experiences were collected in semi-structured interviews and analyzed in this research. Final considerations focus on the possible dissemination of the repertoire in the context of this research, highlighting the importance of the teacher's role.
