In a particular way, with the young people, we want to understand the pastoral perspective of discernment and accompaniment in light of the post-synodal exhortation Christus Vivit. Thus, this study aims to determine how discernment and accompaniment in the Christian tradition are the factors of discipleship. Based on the literature review and theories of discernment and accompaniment, an online survey was set out to understand the perception of respondents about discernment and accompaniment, youth pastoral ministry, and the mentor in the youth pastoral ministry. Our analysis of the responses demonstrated a relationship between the theory and the praxis of discernment in concrete. It also raised some distorted conceptions of some words used in the study. The results indicate that discernment and accompaniment are essential in all dimensions of human life. On this basis, the youth pastoral ministry and the mentor are imperative factors but not exclusive in constructing young people's identities. De modo particular, com os jovens, queremos compreender a perspetiva pastoral do discernimento e acompanhamento à luz da exortação pós-sinodal Christus Vivit. Assim, este estudo pretende determinar como o discernimento e acompanhamento na tradição cristã são os fatores do discipulado. Com base na revisão da literatura, exposição de teorias sobre discernimento e acompanhamento, foi realizada uma pesquisa online para entender a perceção dos participantes sobre discernimento e acompanhamento, pastoral juvenil e o animador na/de pastoral juvenil. A análise das respostas demonstrou uma relação entre a teoria e a práxis do discernimento no concreto. Também levantou algumas concepções distorcidas de algumas palavras usadas no estudo. Os resultados indicam que o discernimento e acompanhamento são essenciais em todas as dimensões da vida humana. Portanto, a pastoral juvenil e o animador são fatores imprescindíveis, mas não exclusivos, na construção da identidade dos jovens.
