Duarte, Alexandre FreireSantos, Filipe Ramos dos2023-09-212023-09-212023-07-262023http://hdl.handle.net/10400.14/42539Resumo Este estudo começa por ver a história, quase bimilenar, da perceção humana do Sagrado Coração de Jesus, remetendo-nos, nesse processo, especialmente para um dado período histórico – século XVI ao século XIX –, algumas figuras – Marguerite-Marie Alacoque e Maria do Divino Coração – e algumas congregações religiosas – Jesuítas, Dehonianos e, entre outras, Escravas do Sagrado Coração de Jesus. Depois desse levantamento histórico – que versará sobre as principais ocasiões em que o Sagrado Coração foi determinante para a fé dos crentes e para a proliferação da Igreja –, o foco deste trabalho será posto em Maria Droste, uma jovem alemã que dedicou a sua vida aos demais, particularmente na Congregação que abraçou como Maria do Coração Divino, tendo sempre o Coração Divino de Jesus como princípio e meta de todos os atos que realizava, chegando a lograr a consagração pontifícia do Mundo ao dito Coração. Verse-á a obra que realizou e como ela teve impacto no desenvolvimento desta espiritualidade em torno do Coração de Jesus. Por fim, mostrar-se-á como tal Irmã apontou, quase profeticamente, para alguns aspetos que, sendo evocados pelos últimos Papas e tratados por teólogos contemporâneos, intentam revitalizar o amor a esse Coração para benefício espiritual e eclesial dos fiéis.This study begins by looking at the almost bimillennial history of the human perception of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, referring us, in this process, especially to a given historical period – from the 16th to the 19th century – some figures – Marguerite-Marie Alacoque and Mary of the Divine Heart – and some religious congregations – Jesuits, Dehonians, and, among others, the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After this historical survey – which will deal with the main occasions in which the Sacred Heart was decisive for the faith of believers and for the proliferation of the Church – the focus of this work will be on Maria Droste, a young German woman who dedicated her life to others, particularly in the Congregation she embraced as Maria of the Divine Heart, always having the Divine Heart of Jesus as the beginning and goal of all her actions, and even achieving the pontifical consecration of the World to the said Heart. We will 2 see the work she accomplished and how it had an impact on the development of this spirituality around the Heart of Jesus.
