O propósito desta investigação consiste em responder à seguinte questão de investigação: “Como poderá o eixo 6 do NPISA Porto ser uma rede eficaz?”. Esta pesquisa teve como base um estudo de caso, a rede do eixo 6 do Núcleo de Planeamento e Intervenção aos Sem-Abrigo do Porto (NPISA Porto), que inclui cinquenta organizações voluntárias que prestam apoio aos sem-abrigo e que enfrenta vários desafios, nomeadamente por ser uma rede de dimensão significativa. Foi, assim, utilizada uma abordagem qualitativa, tendo-se optado por um leque de métodos que incluiu a observação direta, um inquérito e entrevistas a atores-chave desta rede. A literatura sobre a temática das redes mostra que a abordagem em rede dá prioridade às relações baseadas na confiança, à partilha da liderança, ao esforço coletivo e à colaboração. Ao fomentar experiências profundas que fortalecem as relações entre os membros da rede, estes descobrem um propósito comum que os motiva a contribuir e a colaborar. Porém, trata-se de um processo gradual, que requer que sejam cumpridas determinadas etapas, as quais serão descritas detalhadamente ao longo deste trabalho. Após a comparação entre o que foi encontrado na literatura e a realidade da rede analisada, foram sugeridas recomendações à coordenação do eixo 6, pois constatou-se uma eficácia limitada da rede, mas com um grande potencial de desenvolvimento.Networks have been the solution found by many organizations to solve complex issues, because through them it is possible to accelerate learning, stimulate collaboration and catalyze systems9 change. The purpose of this research is to answer the following research question: "How can axis 6 of NPISA Porto be an effective network?". This research was based on a case study, the Axis 6 network of Núcleo de Planeamento e Intervenção aos Sem-Abrigo do Porto (NPISA Porto), which includes fifty voluntary organizations that provide support to the homeless and which faces several challenges, namely because it is a network of significant size. A qualitative approach was therefore used, opting for a range of methods including direct observation, a survey and interviews with key players in this network. The literature on the subject of networks shows that the network approach prioritizes relationships based on trust, shared leadership, collective effort and collaboration. By fostering in-depth experiences that strengthen relationships between network members, they discover a common purpose that motivates them to contribute and collaborate. However, this is a gradual process that requires certain stages to be completed, which will be described in detail throughout this paper.
