Hence, solutions are studied and measures are undertaken, while analysis, opinions and critics invade daily newspapers. One of the solutions debated nowadays is Entrepreneurship. It can be seen as a “fashionable” way of pushing the Economy in a medium-long run. In fact, a lot of entrepreneurs are showing up in Portugal, since this “self-working way” brings other kind of career’s possibilities. With that being said, having a good idea is not enough. An idea is just the very beginning of something. A lot of ingredients like research, methodology, work, etc., are required to start a successful entrepreneurship. Therefore, today, there is extra help to push ideas and entrepreneurs through a right path: Business Incubators. Based on the previous trend, this dissertation has the objective of analyzing three business incubators in Portugal, within the technological sector, exposing, for that, a proper literature review. It begins by analyzing business incubators and stating their importance. Afterwards, it is defined both proper criteria’s evaluation and evaluative measures of success. Finally, these criteria and measures will be used on the three incubators. Thus, the conclusions I will draw are precisely the correlation of the two: “Can I directly associate certain criteria/characteristics with success indicators?”engPortuguese business incubators : do certain characteristics influence good results?master thesis
