Contou com famílias separadas, milhares de mortos, feridos e um fluxo migratório sem previsão de término. A União Europeia tem procurado resolver esta situação dentro e fora das suas fronteiras, onde assistiu a violações à dignidade humana, respeito e igualdade. Diante desta crise, discutem-se quais as políticas a adotar para obter uma resolução efetiva deste problema, numa época onde vários Estados Membros decidem fechar as suas portas e construir barreiras para impedir a entrada de refugiados. Esta catástrofe originou-se devido a uma violenta conflitualidade, conflitos e violações de direitos humanos. Assim, o êxodo populacional culminou numa ação massiva de violência, opressão e amedrontamento por parte de grupos que controlam o tráfico ilegal e aproveitaram-se de populações completamente vulneráveis. Trata-se da maior onda migratória e, por conseguinte, crise humanitária enfrentada pela Europa desde a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Testam-se diariamente os valores e princípios europeus aquando de cada decisão tomada. A União Europeia coopera desde início com as Nações Unidas, respeitando as Convenções de Genebra e acordos institucionalizados. Estarão estas organizações à altura de culminar com esta tragédia?The Syrian refugee crisis was one of the most discusses subject in the past years. This crisis separated thousands of families, a huge number of deaths and a migratory flux that presents no final date. European Union has been looking forward to fix this problem in and outside their borders, where there were a lot of violations of human dignity, respect and equality. In the face of the current situation, it has been discussed what are the best politics to adopt in order to fix this problem as fast as it can be. However, a lot of Member States of European Union decided to close their border to prevent the refugee’s arrival. This tragedy arose from an enormous violence of human rights. Due to that, the population exodus culminated in a huge oppression, violence and fear created by those groups who control illegal traffic and take advantage of vulnerable populations. This is the biggest migratory flux that has ever occurred and, consequently, the biggest humanitarian crises that Europe is facing since the Second World War. European principles are tested every day, as a new decision is made. European Union has been cooperated with United Nations, respecting Geneva Conventions and the other institutional agreements.
