Os textos de divulgação científica constituem um género textual em expansão e encontram-se frequentemente traduzidos em diversas línguas. O surgimento de inúmeras publicações destinadas a não profissionais, bem como secções específicas em jornais e revistas, justificam o interesse da abordagem desta temática no âmbito dos Estudos de Tradução. Sob a perspetiva da Tradutologia, o conhecimento das técnicas de tradução, específicas de um par de línguas, nomeadamente alemão e português, constitui um aspeto incontornável. Desde Vinay e Darbelnet têm surgido várias classificações, entre as quais as de Gallagher e Schreiber, que desempenham um papel importante neste estudo. Partindo de um corpus de textos de divulgação de saúde e bem-estar propomo-nos identificar e caracterizar as técnicas que ocorrem aquando da tradução entre alemão e português.The area of health and wellness is represented by different discourse genres, which constitute a challenge for every translator and make it necessary to have a clear idea about the target audience. These popular science texts constitute a growing text genre and are frequently translated into several languages. The emergence of countless publications for a nonprofessional audience as well as the fact that there are specific sections in journals and magazines, justify the interest of dealing with this topic in the field of Translation Studies. With regard to Translation Studies, the knowledge of translation techniques, specific for a language pair (in this case Portuguese and German), represents a very important aspect. Starting with the works of Vinay & Darbelnet, several classifications have been proposed, among them the ones by Gallagher and Schreiber, which will be analysed in this article.
