Looking at visual arts organisations (VAOs) from a curatorial perspective, their institutional practices of knowledge production between the realms of the local and the global stand out. Focusing on three of the Triangle Network's partner organisations – HANGAR in Lisbon, Gasworks in London and 32º East in Kampala – three means of knowledge production in VAOs are defined and elaborated on: mediation, representation, and conviviality. The study highlights the existence of various knowledge(s) and insists on their importance.A presente investigação pretende avançar com duas questões centrais: (1) o que significa a produção de conhecimento no contexto da prática de curadoria contemporânea e (2) como é que as VAOs cumprem este objetivo através dos seus programas. Em certa medida, o inquérito sobre a segunda questão fornecerá informações sobre a primeira. Analisando as organizações de artes visuais (VAOs) a partir de uma perspetiva curatorial, destacam-se as práticas institucionais de produção de conhecimento entre os âmbitos local e global. Com foco em três das organizações parceiras da Triangle Network – HANGAR em Lisboa, Gasworks em Londres e 32º East em Kampala – são definidos e elaborados três meios de produção de conhecimento em VAOs: mediação, representação e convívio.
