The project is developed based on several databases, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The Balanced Scorecard is a performance tool which enables companies to translate their vision and strategy into a tangible set of performance measures. It was developed in the year of 1990 as a result of a study case which had the goal of validating the “(…) increasing ineffectiveness of the traditional financial indicators used in evaluating development.” (Russo, 2006). In order to build a Balanced Scorecard in Tapeçarias Ferreira de Sá, the objectives are to develop and implement a system of information, management and organization that is valuable for the management team of Ferreira de Sá, in order to make decision making more timely, efficient and effective to proceed towards an increasing and positive growth and development policy, in terms of value and employment creation.
