Neste relatório descrevem-se as funções exercidas ao serviço do Município do Porto, nomeadamente, na área da inspeção e fiscalização hígio-sanitária nos estabelecimentos comerciais nele sediados, de modo a garantir a saúde pública e proteção dos consumidores. Procede-se também a uma reflexão crítica relativamente às exigências deste tipo de atividade e das competências sociais e aptidões pessoais desenvolvidas durante o desempenho como técnica superior, de maneira a responder aos desafios solicitados durante o seu exercício. A autora explica ainda de que forma os conteúdos académicos, adquiridos na licenciatura em Engenharia Alimentar, bem como, o posterior aprofundar de conhecimentos sobre a legislação aplicável ao setor, se revelaram decisivos no cumprimento das funções que lhe foram atribuídas. Em conclusão, traçam-se ainda algumas apreciações sobre a importância das competências profissionais desenvolvidas neste período - tendo em consideração a especificidade deste setor da transformação alimentar -, e da sua valoração e aplicações em futuros desempenhos.This Report of Professional Activities describes the functions carried out by its author, having a degree in Food Engineering with over five years of professional experience, during the performance of her duties in the Porto Municipal Council from 2001 to 2007, with the objective of obtaining a master's degree in Food Engineering through the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University. The document outlines the work done by the author while in the service of the municipality, namely, in the areas of supervision and inspection of sanitary and hygiene conditions of registered commercial establishments in order to guarantee public health and consumer protection. Additionally, it critically analyzes the requirements necessary to perform these activities and the personal skills and social capabilities acquired as a Senior Technical Officer, in order to better address the challenges faced during the author's tenure. The author also explains the extent to which the academic content of the bachelor's degree in Food Engineering and the subsequent deepening of knowledge about relevant legislation were key factors in realizing her duties. In conclusion, it evaluates the importance of the professional competences acquired during the period in question, taking into consideration the specificities of the food processing sector, and their value and applicability in her future professional activities.pormaster thesis201460513
