Com a pandemia, causada pela COVID-19, cerca de um milhão de portugueses passou a laborar em teletrabalho como forma de contenção do vírus. A adoção massiva desta figura colocou ao ordenamento jurídico laboral questões e desafios que até então não tinham sido considerados e evidenciou a necessidade de repensar as respostas que o regime jurídico previa. O presente estudo versa sobre os desafios que a saúde e segurança no trabalho colocou e continua a colocar no âmbito do teletrabalho e em que medida o ordenamento jurídico laboral respondeu e colmatou os desafios e questões que o regime jurídico dos acidentes de trabalho enfrenta em face da existência de um acidente de trabalho em teletrabalho.The increasingly recurrent and habitual use of ICT's has made it possible to perform subordinated work outside the traditional business center, enabling the emergence of the type of employment contract called telework. With the pandemic, caused by COVID-19, about one million Portuguese began to work remotely to contain the virus. The massive adoption of this figure put to the labor legal system issues and challenges that until then had not been considered and highlighted the need to rethink the answers that the legal regime provided.
