dc.description.abstractThere is now widespread consensus about the need for professionals trained in universities who can act in the field of Cultural Management. In Spain, various professional associations demand from the universities specific training tools aimed at those who want to take over the culture or work towards it, both in the institutional setting and in the private space, specially in relation to self-employment. In the last decade, in Portugal, the cultural and creative industries agenda has expanded, fostering complex connections between higher education sector and the creative economy in domains that range from the growth of creative human capital to the increase in collaborations and partnership across arts schools and local art scenes. The present communication aims at comparative analysis of various training initiatives arising in the universities of Brazil, Spain and Portugal. This analysis is carried out in order to assess the commonalities between the instruments implemented in each of these spaces, as the culture sector is increasingly transnational, and therefore universities must accommodate content and training tools that may be valid beyond the national borders of each of the spaces.pt_PT
