Resumo: We begin by saying that there is not one but various transitions, there is not one but various active lives, there is not one but various works. With these three initial theses we aim to signal the complexity of the problem that (pre)occupies us. Then we try to characterize some of the work and employment “market” reorganization dynamics that force the training entities to pay increased attention to the supposed qualification needs. Bearing in mind the various scenarios of work (re)organization, several intervention hypotheses in order to promote employment and dignify life are enunciated, recalling, on the other hand, the graduate selection and recruitment practices, so that we can recognize and reorganize them and prepare people to intervene in the employment field in a more creative way. Finally, several strategies for a sustainable employability are enunciated, directed to the training entities, to employers and to the political powers. Key words: transition, training
